Tissue CryoEM Core Manager Position

Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology (ICOB), Academia Sinica, Taiwan, invites applications for a manager of a tissue CryoEM core facility (with the title of Assistant Research Specialist). The tissue cryoEM core facility will support vEM (volume electron microscopy), cryoET (cryo-electron tomography) and CLEM (correlative light-electron microscopy) for 3D ultrastructural analyses of tissues. ICOB, consisting of 21 laboratories, engages in biological research at the molecular, cellular and systems levels in the fields of cell and developmental biology and neuroscience. Interested candidates should have PhD degree in biophysics or engineering and have extensive experience in electron microscopy. Candidates with experience in both FIB/sEM and confocal microscopy are especially encouraged to apply. Excellent analytical and communication skills are required. The successful candidate is expected to organize/manage the tissue CryoEM core facility and develop/adapt advanced cryoEM technologies.
