我們的興趣是了解魚類如何調節體液中之離子與酸鹼平衡、控制激素和能量代謝以應對不斷變化的環境。 關於研究，致力於開發新的魚類模式物種和更進步的方法。 我們的研究還擴展到不同的物種，從演化生理學角的度增加對脊椎動物進化的理解。
