探討無脊椎動物之社會行為與其費洛蒙系統及神經內分泌系統之相關關係。

今以龍蝦蟑螂Nauphoeta cinerea 為模式,其細目如下:

  1. 以具有社會階級之蟑螂為模式首先瞭解其成蟲社會階級之確切結構。
  2. 建立不同社會階級其內分泌之型式。昆蟲成蟲之主要內分泌器官為食道下神經球 (Suboesophageal Ganglion,簡稱SOG)及心泌體(Corpora Cardiaca,簡稱CC),其主要分泌物分別為juvenile hormone 及Adipokinetic hormone, 這兩種激素將是本研究之重點。
