Histone modification: regulation and function

Our laboratory is interested in the molecular and biological function of histone modifications and their modifying enzyme, which is conserved from yeast to human. We use a variety of approaches including yeast genetics and gene knockout mice as well as modern molecular techniques, in particular high-throughput sequencing techniques such as ChIP-, ATAC-, and RNA-seq to identify the roles of histone modifications in DNA replication, genome stability and cell fate control during development.
