Opening for Positions: Research Assistants (Bachelor’s/Master’s Level) and Postdoctoral Fellows in Yan-Fung Wong’s Lab

Wong’s Lab, newly launched at the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology, Academia Sinica, is now hiring full‑time Research Assistants and Postdoctoral Fellows to join our team.

Our lab studies human stem cells to explore the link between cell proliferation and differentiation. We focus on epigenetic mechanisms regulating progenitor cell growth, aiming to create high-quality cells for precision regenerative medicine. Join us to work with passionate researchers in stem cell and developmental biology, leveraging cutting-edge technology and resources at the institute and Academia Sinica.

Job Responsibilities 

- Develop individual research projects with guidance; support related research tasks.

- Engage in experimental design, analyze data, and provide regular updates on progress. 

- Supervise daily laboratory activities, ensuring a productive and well-organized work environment. 

Qualifications

*Education*: 

- Bachelor's or Master's in life sciences for research assistant roles; PhD required for postdoctoral fellows.

*Desired Qualities*: 

- Detail-focused, responsible, proactive, and team-oriented. 

- Strong English skills for literature review and data management. 

- Experience in stem cell culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry, bioinformatics, or omics data analysis is advantageous. 

Salary and Work Environment 

- Salary follows institutional standards: NT$38,388/month for bachelor’s degrees, NT$44,968/month for master’s, and NT$64,711/month for doctoral degrees, with adjustments based on work experience. 

- Employment complies with Taiwan’s Labor Standards Act and includes health insurance and benefits..
